JC Memorial Adams
I recently had the privilege to create a limited edition piece of FlyArt and donate a framed print (#1 of 25) to the “JC Memorial Raffle” at Fly Anglers Online (FAOL). The purpose of the event was to raise funds to purchase a granite memorial bench to honor the late Jim Birkholm (aka, James Castwell). Jim and his wife Deanna were co-founders of FAOL and together they have probably done as much to promote fly-fishing around the world as anyone on the planet. It was an honor to be a part of such a worthy cause.
I was delighted to learn that my artwork had been won by Mr. Larry Gibbs from Washington state. Larry is a very active member of the Federation of Fly Fishers (FFF) and is president of the Alpine Fly Fishers.
I held this edition back until a winner was announced and will now offer limit edition, framed Giclee prints to the public.
You can view a larger version of the fly here and purchase a copy [while they last] should you desire to do so.
As I told Larry Gibbs in an email correspondence recently, “I don’t think you’ll ever see another Adams quite like this one”. Appropriate considering there will never be another James (Castwell) Birkholm.
